Temu's Tree Planting Program
Temu has partnered with Trees for the Future to fund a program for planting trees across sub-Saharan Africa since July 2023. Together, we have funded a total of:

* Funded by users worldwide who donate by clicking 'Donate with Temu' at checkout and by Temu. Since trees are planted during specific seasons to ensure a high chance of survival, planting usually takes place within a few months of the donation. On average, according to Trees for the Future, around 80% of trees planted across Trees for the Future's global projects survive during the four years following seed distribution to farmers.The cost of planting a tree through our partnership with Trees for the Future is $0.35 USD, which has been converted to 0,31€ based on the current exchange rate. Based on latest estimates from Trees for the Future, approximately 52% of the donation cost directly supports on-the-ground tree planting activities, with 22% allocated to seeds, saplings, and essential farming tools for farmers, and 30% allocated to farmer training and field support. The remaining costs cover essential components of the program necessary to ensure the long-term health of the trees, including 12% for project evaluation and operational costs, and 36% for the support provided by Trees for the Future's country-level and global teams.
