K***yShips from Donner directly and comes in its own box inside a bubble wrap shipping bag. Its box is also padded with high density foam that surrounds the pedal, which is ALSO inside a tough little plastic pouch. This pedal is VERY WELL PACKED!!! -Now, for the performance- I've owned an original 1970's Musitronics MuTronIII, ...considered to be the "holy grail" of these envelope follower type effects...And this lil' fella DOES hang in there just fine. It sounds remarkably good and packs alot of adjustable parameters in there, especially for its small size. A genuine 1970's MuTronIII is bigger, and might cost you up to around $1000 depending on its condition. This does the job just fine, and saves you megabucks. Since these are types of effects most people won't use 100% of the time they're playing, you must evaluate if you really need to spend hundreds for a bigger OLD "holy grail" effect, or spend waaay under $100 for a quality built one that works just fine...AND as an extra bonus, only takes up about 1/8th the space of an old MuTronIII does on your pedalboard. Of course, you'll lose bragging rights and you won't have a museum on your pedalboard. But you'll get the job done, and get it done quite well too! -This pedal sounds great with guitar, bass, or keyboards. Whatever you think you're missing can be brought out with an equalizer, and anything you're not can be adjusted on the pedal, or can be handled by a noise gate or your own guitar volume/or preamp gain control in front of this Donner dynamic wah pedal, coz -like ALL envelope followers do- it reacts to the attack of your picking, and your input volume/gain. Alot of that can be adjusted on the pedal parameters, but no matter what, this effect will ALWAYS be reactive to how hard you're picking, strumming, or striking the keys on your electric piano or keyboards, etc (hence the name "dynamic") -Take a little time with different set ups, and familiarize yourself well with it -just as you would have to do with an expensive MuTron, and you'll have this lil' fella quackin' out of your hand in no time! -I would recommend this pedal for its careful shipping, its build quality, the size, how adjustable the parameters are, and overall... how well it performs in general. I've used the BOSS "auto wah" and I'd say this is just as good for about 1/2 the cost. -It's the 2nd effect I've got by Donner and I'm impressed by their stuff so far. -Thanks temu!!!
e***0Donner pedals are well regarded among guitarists. This pedal is an excellent alternative to pedal wahs.
