If you are not satisfied with what you bought on Temu, you may be eligible to return it and get a refund. You will find the applicable conditions on this page.
1. Statutory Right of Withdrawal
I. As a consumer located in the European Economic Area, you have a statutory right of withdrawal. This means that you can withdraw your order within 14 days of receipt of the items (or the last item, lot or piece if the order concerns multiple items or multiple lots or pieces delivered separately) by you or a third party (other than the carrier) indicated by you (the “Withdrawal Period”), without providing any reasons (the “Statutory Right of Withdrawal”).
II. To exercise your Statutory Right of Withdrawal, you should send your request to exercise the Statutory Right of Withdrawal before the Withdrawal Period has expired and return the item(s) to the indicated address within 14 days after you submit your withdrawal request.
III. You can submit your withdrawal request to the seller by using the model withdrawal form as set out here, or by making any other unequivocal statement setting out your decision to withdraw from the contract, or clicking on the “Return/Refund” option for the relevant order in “Your Orders” page, or using the Online Return Page. If you submit your withdrawal request electronically, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt of the withdrawal request by email without undue delay.
IV. You may be liable if the value of the goods returned diminishes due to your handling of the goods (except when it was necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods).
V. If you withdraw your order according to the Statutory Right of Withdrawal, the original shipping fee is refundable (except for any additional costs that may arise due to your selection of an expedited delivery method other than the standard delivery method offered by the seller).
VI. All refunds, including shipping fees if applicable, are processed within 14 days from the day the seller is informed of the withdrawal request. The seller may withhold the refund until the returned item(s) are received or until you have shown that you have sent back the item(s), whichever is the earliest. All refunds will be made using the same mean of payment as the one you used for your purchase, unless you expressly agree to use another mean of payment and provided this mean of payment does not incur any costs for you.
VII. Please note that you will have to bear the direct costs of returning the items, except for the first return of an order, which will be borne by sellers.
2. Voluntary Return Policy
I. This section only applies to the Voluntary Return Policy of within 90 days of purchase outlined in this Return and Refund Policy, and does not impact your Statutory Right of Withdrawal.
II. Without prejudice to your Statutory Right of Withdrawal, you can return your products within 90 days of purchase (the “Voluntary Return Window”), subject to the exclusions detailed in Section 3 below. The Voluntary Return Window may be only up to 45 or 60 days for certain electronic goods or large electrical appliances, as specified on the individual product detail page depending on the seller. Please note that within 14 days of receipt of the items, you benefit from the Statutory Right of Withdrawal, as described above.
III. Return shipping is free on your first return of one or multiple returnable items for EVERY order within the Voluntary Return Window, subject to the exclusions detailed in Section 3 below. Please note that free return shipping applies only to your first return per order, regardless of whether this return is under your Statutory Right of Withdrawal or the Voluntary Return Policy. For the second and subsequent refunds from the same order, you will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
IV. For refunds of returned items, your refund will be processed after the items are received and checked to ensure that they have not been damaged nor used.
V. To get a full refund you must return each item in the same condition in which you received it. This means that new items must be returned new, unused and complete. Please note that if the returned item is used, damaged or missing parts/accessories directly attributable to you, the refund will be reduced by an amount up to the purchase price of the product to compensate for the lost value of the item.
VI. The delivery costs of your initial purchase, if any, are not refundable under this Voluntary Return Policy, without prejudice to your statutory rights as described above.
3. Exceptions to the Statutory Right of Withdrawal and Voluntary Return Policy
The same exceptions apply to both the Statutory Right of Withdrawal and the Voluntary Return Policy. You cannot withdraw your order for the following products:
products that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene and whose sealing was removed after delivery or due to their nature have been inseparably mixed with other products after delivery;
audio or video recordings or computer software in sealed packaging, if the sealing was removed after delivery;
products manufactured to customer specifications or clearly personalized;
products that may deteriorate or expire rapidly.
