Temu's EPR Compliance

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is an environmental policy vital to the recycling of products. Temu works within UK’s EPR compliance framework and helps sellers meet their EPR obligations. We support the development of a cooperative EPR compliance system.

On Temu's Part

  • We work with approved Producer Compliance Schemes and Producer Responsibility Organisations in the United Kingdom to facilitate the reporting, collection, treatment and recycling of products placed on the UK market.

Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Packaging
Temu is working with Clarity Environmental Ltd, who specialises in online marketplace compliance, and operates Producer Compliance Schemes in the UK under both the Waste Electrical and Packaging Regulations. Clarity fulfils our UK regulatory compliance requirements using digital platforms and a network of audited recycling facilities.

  • We consistently guide our sellers to comply with their producer responsibilities for the products they sell.

  • We closely monitor the changing regulatory environment and roll out new compliance programs together with the Producer Responsibility Organizations, Compliance Schemes, and sellers.

On Your Part

Awareness

  • Recycling products may contain substances hazardous to the environment and human health and require careful treatment.

  • The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol on products indicates that they are subject to separate collection and should not be disposed of in standard household waste collection bins.

  • For the recycling products available at the Temu UK site, please note that EPR contributions are included.
